THANK YOU!!!
Well thanks again for all the folks that have stopped by and visited the web site. This has been a great year for the street. Hope everyone had a chance to view the special on CHristmas eve on the 2011 lighting of 34th Street it was very well done. Well here is wishing you a safe happy and healthly 2012 and hopefully we will be seeing you the Saturday after Thanksgivng 2012. The most asked question I receive from folks is, where do I park? It is important to remember that 34th Street is a block in a residential neighborhood and there is no reserved parking. You just park where ever there is an open spot but please observe all street signs and permit parking signs. Please be mindful of the neighbors when you park and walk the block. Please check the calendar pull down for the times for the lights between now and Christmas. I have posted some new pictures of the street and will be adding more as we I take them.
Also do not forget the annual ball drop and running of Baby New Year on New Years Eve, it is truly an event that must be seen to be believed. The events commence around 11:45 PM on New Years Eve.
Special Note from the 34th Street Residents
It has come to our attention that there are people posing as residents of 34th Street soliciting for money to pay our electric bills. Let us tell you that they are NOT residents of the street and in no way are we asking for any donations. Putting up these lights is truly a labor of love and we do not receive or accept any cash donations and BGE does NOT give us a break on our electric bills, we pay ours just like you. So if you see or hear anyone asking for donations please ignore them as it is not anyone on our street. Thank you and Happy Thanksgiving and Merry Christmas from the residents of 34th Street. |
