Season Greeting Everyone!!!

We are a few short weeks away from the beginning of the greatest and brightest two blocks in the United States!!!

PLEASE TAKE NOTE !!!

Due to the crime issues the neighborhood has been dealing with this year, please make sure when parking your car you do not have any items of value visible, also please be cogizant of your surroundings and if someone approaches you that looks suspicious call 911 or scream for help. We appreciate all the visitors that come to the lights this time of year, and we only want you to be...

SAFE!!!!!

Any questions or concerns please feel free to leave a message on the website...

A Note To everyone

From the Residents of 34th Street :

All of the residents of 34th Street decorate their houses as they choose, there are no committees that decides who puts what on each house. Remember it is just a bunch of folks putting up Christmas lights....

No More...No less....and no assistance from ANYONE including BGE, we pay our own bills and do not want or take any donations of any kind.

34th street is a "vendor free"block. Where street vendors set up at the ends of 34th street to sell food or xmas trinkets we ask you respect the block by not setting up inside the block because of the heavy volume of foot and car traffic...
we thank you in advance

NOTE:

PLEASE NO ANIMALS ON THE PORCHES and THIS YEAR WE WILL BE VENDOR FREE THE VENDORS YOU SEE ON THE STREET IN NO WAY ARE AFILIATED WITH THE RESIDENTS OF 34TH STREET

THANK YOU!!!

Well another year is under way of Christmas Lights on 34th Street!! We look forward to seeing everyone and thanks to all the folks that have stopped by and visited the web site. We are hoping for another great year and check back on the web site for updates. The most asked question I receive from folks is, where do I park? It is important to remember that 34th Street is a block in a residential neighborhood and there is no reserved parking. You just park where ever there is an open spot but please observe all street signs and permit parking signs. Please be mindful of the neighbors when you park and walk the block. Please check the calendar link for the times of the lights between now and Christmas. I have posted some new pictures of the street and will be adding more as we I take them.

Also do not forget the annual ball drop and running of Baby New Year on New Years Eve, it is truly an event that must be seen to be believed. The events commence around 11:45 PM on New Years Eve.

Special Note from the 34th Street Residents

It has come to our attention that there are people posing as residents of 34th Street soliciting for money to pay our electric bills. Let us tell you that they are NOT residents of the street and in no way are we asking for any donations. Putting up these lights is truly a labor of love and we do not receive or accept any cash donations and BGE does NOT give us a break on our electric bills, we pay ours just like you. So if you see or hear anyone asking for donations please ignore them as it is not anyone on our street. Thank you and Happy Thanksgiving and Merry Christmas from the residents of 34th Street.
